Going ot the Vet
and business partner is knee deep in our full time farm tasks, you go alone. When your husband is more than knee deep because you’ve had sick calves and equipment break downs, you take the dogs.
This should be interesting. The boys have not taken a long car trip since the first week of December when we went south of St Louis to pick up the sawmill (and see an aunt and cousins who had helped procure the sawmill). The boys were 9 weeks old. Now they’re 9 months old. Maybe better behaved, maybe not. So, they will experience doggy daycare, but still spend the night in the hotel with me, because it is a two day workshop.

Timing is everything
The workshop is…..wait for it…. Portable Sawmill Operations and Lumber Drying. Awesome. Lot’s to learn. Good thing it comes with a book for future reference. And when you read this, hopefully I’ll have made it to class in time – it’s a 2.5 hr drive and have to drop the boys off at daycare. Blessedly just down the street from the workshop.
Can’t wait to get to the mill and put the new knowledge to work. Also get some drying racks made and put our @Sam’s Club purchase part 4 to work. More on that later.
Keep your fingers crossed that Scout doesn’t bark all day, and neither one destroys their daycare bedding or anything.
